Language, Literacy & Communication

​

Our language, literacy, and communication curriculum for infants encourages positive communication between teachers and children while fostering early language development and literacy skills. Through picture books, songs, rhymes, word games, and finger plays, infants are introduced to rich language experiences in a nurturing environment. Age-appropriate books are read throughout the day, and engaging songs and rhymes provide daily opportunities to build vocabulary, listening skills, and a love of learning.

Cognitive Development

Our cognitive development curriculum introduces infants to foundational math and science concepts through hands-on exploration and discovery. Early math experiences help babies develop an awareness of space and spatial relationships, understand basic quantity concepts such as “more” and “less,” and begin to recognize patterns, sorting, and classification. Early science learning encourages curiosity, simple problem-solving, and active exploration of the world around them. Rich sensory experiences engage all five senses, supporting cognitive growth and helping infants make meaningful connections with their environment.

Motor Development, Health & Well-Being​

For motor development, health and well-being, our curriculum ensures that an infant’s health and safety are a primary consideration and focus in our classrooms. A variety of play opportunities that stimulate large & small muscles growth are provided daily. Teachers guide infants in a developmentally appropriate environment that encourages an awareness of the body parts and enjoyment of physical activities. Infants are fed healthy meals and encouraged to participate in their own health care routine when diapered and assisted with hand washing. In nice weather, infants enjoy buggy rides which provide fresh air and help them develop a connection with and appreciation for the natural world.

Social & Emotional Development​

Our social and emotional development curriculum focuses on three key areas: trust and emotional security, sense of self, and social relationships. The framework is grounded in the belief that strong, nurturing relationships provide the foundation for lifelong learning, well-being, and success.

Through consistent, responsive care, infants develop trusting relationships with their teachers, creating a secure environment in which they feel valued, supported, and understood. These strong connections help foster a positive sense of self and lay the groundwork for healthy social interactions with others. By meeting each infant’s individual needs with warmth and compassion, our teachers promote emotional security, encourage self-expression, and support the development of self-regulation and emerging independence.

Themed Lesson Plans​

Our themed lesson plans provide daily learning experiences that encourage early literacy, sensory exploration, dance, music, hands-on materials, and games that foster creativity in every child. Teachers build on each child’s individual needs by using ongoing assessment information and developmental goals to thoughtfully plan instruction and support each child’s growth and success.

We recognize that children develop at their own pace, with unique personalities, strengths, and needs that require responsive and individualized support. Our teachers ensure that each infant receives nurturing care, meaningful learning experiences, and age-appropriate opportunities that promote curiosity, creativity, and healthy cognitive development.
